A new luxury multifamily high-rise has opened in the heart of Miami at the confluence of Coconut Grove and Coral Gables. The 37-story Cascade joins its sister property, the 22-story CORE, on the 7-acre Link at Douglas master-planned community.

Cascade, which was developed as a joint venture between Miami-based developers 13th Floor Investments and Adler Development in partnership with global investment manager Barings, is comprised of 421 modern apartments and a Milam’s Market on the ground floor.

Adjacent to the Douglas Road Metrorail Station, the transit-oriented high-rise offers studio to three-bedroom floor plans ranging between 510 and 1,323 square feet. It received its temporary certificate of occupancy Jan. 5, with resident move-ins starting just over a week later; Bozzuto is handling leasing and property management. Rents begin at $2,600 per month.

“We are thrilled to engage the community with the opening of Cascade and unveil this new addition to the Miami skyline,” said Arnaud Karsenti, managing principal of 13th Floor Investments. “Our vision for this property, and the entire Link at Douglas community, was to meet the growing needs of today’s contemporary renter who is seeking modern living options linking them to the heart of the city. We have curated a lifestyle that is elevated in every sense, from refined design, thoughtful amenities, and ultimate connectivity, to the building’s physical footprint as an eye-catching emergence visible along the U.S. 1 corridor.”

Designed by Arquitectonica, the glass-wrapped tower showcases elements that unit comfort and style with sophistication and a tropical twist. The interiors were done by Design Agency, which featured teak wood and textured wall designs in contrast with matte black accents. Earth tones also can be found throughout.

Unit interiors feature stone-wrapped kitchen islands, floor-to-ceiling windows, and washers and dryers. Other unit highlights include tall matte lacquer soft close cabinets, full tile backsplashes, Energy Star appliances, porcelain-tiled showers, front-lit vanity mirrors, and wood-look flooring. Private balconies are available in select units.

Residents have access to a wealth of amenities, including the 10th floor deck that touts a resort-style pool with luxury lounge seating, cabanas, and a poolside bar. Additional amenities include an outdoor movie screen; a game room with foosball, billiards, shuffleboard, and card tables; a basketball half-court; a yoga studio; a media room; a children’s playroom; and an on-site dog run and wash.

Once completed, the Link at Douglas master plan is expected to encompass approximately 1,600 residential units, over 32,000 square feet of retail, and a public plaza that connects with The Underline, which is transforming the land below Miami’s Metrorail into a 10-mile linear park, urban trail, and public art destination.
