The tech support offering is considered the multifamily housing industry’s first specifically designed solution to assist residents facing technical challenges with consumer electronic devices.
Property managers will be able to provide residents instant access to Assurant’s expert tech support team via call or chat to help troubleshoot connected tech-related issues while alleviating their tech-related maintenance ticket burden. Residents will also have access to Assurant’s innovative TechPro app that offers 24/7 self-help content, allowing users to troubleshoot issues independently around the clock.

The launch of Assurant TechPro comes at a time marked by an increase in demand for smart tech support. As renters are increasingly seeking smart amenities in their homes, they are turning to building management for assistance with tech-related issues, such as device setup issues, troubleshooting electronic issues, and Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
Proprietary consumer research conducted by Assurant revealed that 20% of maintenance calls from residents to property managers are related to tech support issues and 86% of renters believe that integrating a tech support service into their building could notably enhance the positive brand perception for property management companies.
