This issue of the ORA™ Power Rankings ranks the 26 to 50 most-populous MSAs (metropolitan statistical areas) in the nation based on their individual Online Reputation Assessment (ORA) scores. In each of these metros, we highlight the top 10 most-popular apartments based on their online reputation. Earlier, in October, we did a similar ranking for the top 25 most-populous MSAs.
At the MSA Level
Overall, 14 of the top 26 to 50 MSAs performed above the national average ORA of 61.39.
Raleigh–Cary, N.C., is the most-reputable MSA, with a score of 68. Two properties in the MSA scored 94 each to tie for the top honors—Meridian at Harrison Pointe (Cary), managed by Hawthorne Residential, and The Dartmouth North Hills Apartments (Raleigh), managed by Fogelman Properties.
Three MSAs scored 64 each to nab the second–most reputable MSA position—Nashville–Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, Tenn.; Virginia Beach–Norfolk–Newport News, Va.–N.C.; and Milwaukee–Waukesha–West Allis, Wis.
Management-Company Tally
Of the 250 properties included in this ranking, 35 are privately managed. The management companies that manage the most top 10 properties in these 26 to 50 MSAs are Greystar (14), Eskaton Properties (nine), Towne Properties (eight), and Drucker + Falk Real Estate (seven).
At the Property Level
Among the 250 properties listed in this ranking, 145 scored an ORA of 90 or above. Pohlig Box Factory (Richmond, Va.), managed privately, scored 98, the highest ORA in this month's ranking. Stewart Village Apartment Homes (Sunnyvale, Calif.), managed by Irvine Property Management, scored 97 to rank second among all 250 properties.

About the ORA Power Rankings
Developed by J Turner Research, the ORA Power Rankings are a monthly, independent ranking of apartment properties and management companies based on their Online Reputation Assessment (ORA) scores. Methodology
The ORA score is an aggregate compilation of a property’s ratings across 19-plus review sites and ILSs. Each month, J Turner Research monitors the online ratings of more than 92,000 properties nationwide. Using a statistical model, a single score based on a scale of 0 to 100 is assigned to each property. This score serves as a benchmark to compare a company’s individual properties and portfolios nationally, regionally, and against the competition.
