Located in Miami’s booming Edgewater neighborhood, The Related Group, in collaboration with global architecture firm Arquitectonica, planned and designed the 11-acre Paraiso District, a four-tower project made up of Paraiso Bay, Paraiso Bayviews, One Paraiso, and Gran Paraiso. The large-scale, luxury community includes several standout amenities, such as its Paraiso Beach Club, an on-site public sculpture garden, and several pools overlooking Biscayne Bay.
One of the most unique offerings, a three-lane bowling alley, sits on the fourth floor of the Gran Paraiso with other sports-related amenities, including a golf simulator. The shared space, reserved exclusively for tenants and their guests, was designed by Italian interior designer Piero Lissoni. An interactive lighting system responds to the action on the bowling lanes, while LED screens above the space keep track of players’ scores and a localized sound system plays a mix of music.
The surrounding bowling alley lounge features rich woods, sculptural lighting, modern furnishings, and a statement stone staircase that ascends to the 2-acre amenity deck above. Black and white photographs by Cuban artist Alexandre Arrechea add a touch of local culture and complement Lissoni’s designs to create a minimalist and inviting environment.
