Located in Minneapolis’ Central Business District (CBD) at 10th Street and Marquette Avenue, multidisciplinary firm BKV Group with developer partner City Club Apartments created a new 17-story high-rise with 307 units that aims to revitalize a neighborhood where the arts once thrived. The project, City Club Apartments CBD Minneapolis, restores the Handicraft Guild Building, a historic structure built in 1907 during the Arts and Crafts movement, and targets Gen Z, millennials, and urbanites seeking a nano-living option.

Embracing its state’s roots and catering to the local arts scene, residents “can take a trip up north” by heading to the “cabin in the sky,” or a rooftop clubroom with authentic Minnesota cabin details. The space features blue concrete floors that recall the Minnesota lakes, wood walls and ceilings emulating a quintessential Northwoods cabin, and vintage furnishings and lodge-esque decor, such as antler chandeliers and an eye-catching bright red canoe light fixture.

The amenity-rich clubroom houses a gourmet kitchen and large island for social gatherings, a double-sided fireplace separating the gaming area and lounge, and a direct connection to the exterior Skypark, where residents can enjoy a rooftop pool, cabanas, an outdoor kitchen, and a Zen garden.
