We’ll dissect the topic from a variety of angles and media, including webinars; biweekly e-newsletters; a themed issue of the magazine; and a keynote event at the MFE Conference in September.
Our intent is to provide you with the latest student housing trends and deals—a behind-the-scenes look at the industry’s most successful owners, operators, and developers. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
The overarching Concept Community project, the centerpiece of this effort, will proceed in three stages—data, expertise, and virtual communities.
First, J Turner Research recently surveyed tens of thousands of students to get a handle on their housing wants and needs. That research data will then be filtered through our developer partners, ACC and Fountain Residential, whose expertise will help flesh out the metrics into real-world applications. Then, our architect partners, Humphreys & Partners and KTGY, will model and animate two virtual student housing communities—one in the Southwest and one in the Northeast—based on those findings.
The finish line of the project occurs at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on Sept. 10, when the Concept Community crew unveils the virtual communities.
