Quadient, a global smart package locker provider, is accelerating its growth trajectory with the acquisition of U.S.-based Package Concierge, which is headquartered in Manhattan, Kansas. With this acquisition, which closed Dec. 17, Quadient has surpassed 25,000 locker installations globally.

As part of its “Elevate to 2030” strategic plan, Quadient seeks to generate over $1 billion of subscription-related revenue and 40,000 installed units by 2030. It is focusing its expansion efforts on three key global areas: the United States, Europe, and Japan. Package Concierge, which provides digital locker technology for package management in U.S. residential, commercial, retail, and higher education, adds approximately 3,000 installations to Quadient’s base.

“Quadient has been a leader in package locker solutions since its first locker installation in 2013, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Package Concierge into the Parcel Pending by Quadient family,” says Austin Maddox, executive vice president of North American Parcel Lockers, Quadient. “Package Concierge has a strong presence in the U.S. multifamily residential housing market, delivering innovative digital locker technology that addresses the challenges of package management in multifamily environments. By combining the strengths of Parcel Pending by Quadient and Package Concierge, we are creating more value for our customers.”

Maddox notes the team will ensure a smooth experience for property managers, residents, and businesses, while accelerating innovation and developing advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of package management. Package Concierge customers—which include leading multifamily firms such as AvalonBay, Bozzuto, Equity Residential, Greystar, and Waterton—will gain access to an expanded suite of parcel management automation solutions.

As e-commerce continues to grow, the demand for package lockers in multifamily housing is expected to increase.

“The multifamily market for package lockers continues to grow, driven by the increasing demand for secure, convenient, and accessible package management solutions. Residents now prioritize package lockers as essential amenities, recognizing their role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of deliveries. Resident surveys consistently show package lockers ranking as one of the most important amenities for prospective renters when choosing an apartment,” adds Maddox. “Apartment communities highly value package lockers, as they address critical operational challenges. These systems eliminate the inefficiencies of managing packages within leasing offices, freeing up staff time and resources. Additionally, package lockers reduce the risks and logistical challenges associated with direct-to-door deliveries, such as misplaced or stolen items.”
