“Go to college and you will get a good job.” That’s what most Gen-Yers have been told their whole lives. But it simply is no longer true. In this economy, they don’t have the luxury of being picky with where they work.
So where are all the 20-somethings turning to find post-graduation jobs in such a scarce market? Well, the latest data from Payscale.com shows that retail and sales top the list. Here’s a look at the rest of the top jobs that the 500,000 19–29 year-olds who were surveyed are taking and how they’re being compensated.
