Upon its completion in 2018, the 58-story tower will reshape Austin’s skyline as the city’s tallest building—and will mark the structure as the tallest residential tower west of the Mississippi. The Independent will offer breathtaking views of Lady Bird Lake, the Capitol, Texas Hill Country, and Shoal Creek Greenbelt.
The "Owner's Club Room” for luxury entertaining and dining is one of the many amenities offered.
The building will feature two entire floors dedicated to amenities.
Due to The Independent's unique layout, half of the building’s 370 residences will be corner units. Each will also feature quartz countertops, wide-plank hardwood floor, and marble bathrooms, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the sky-high views.
The lobby will welcome residents home to an environment designed to reflect Austin’s bold and innovative spirit. At the corner of West 3rd Street and West Avenue, occupants will have immediate access to downtown’s trail network, a new library, and an array of dining and shopping options.
