
During the presidential election, voters in seven states—California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Nebraska, and New Jersey—will be able to vote yes or no on state-level initiatives surrounding housing and urban development.
The majority of these measures involve the allocation of tax credits, including access for long-time owners, veterans, surviving spouses of veterans, and Habitat for Humanity. In Nebraska, an amendment to the Constitution would increase redevelopment in underserved areas, and in California new rent control measures are again on the ballot.
