Conference highlights for Day One include an economic outlook for housing with Ali Wolf, chief economist at Zonda, and a deep dive into multifamily fundamentals with Ryan Davis, CEO of Witten Advisors. Jeff Adler, vice president of Yardi Matrix, and Greg Willett, first vice president, research services, at Institutional Property Advisors, will highlight the top markets for multifamily investment.
In addition, Texas-based executives Kelly Blaskowsky, chief operating officer at Capstone Real Services; Payton Mayes, CEO of JPI Cos.; and Greg West, CEO of ZOM Living, will offer a welcome to the Lone Star State along with some lessons from the hot Dallas multifamily market.
Capping off the first day will be keynote presenter Antonia J.A. Hock, a renowned expert in customer and employee experience, leadership, and building experience-based brands. She will delve into why the multifamily brand experience matters and how to build it.
Day Two will delve into some of the industry’s top concerns, including centralization, the capital markets, and escalating insurance costs.
Keynote presenter Cassie Kozyrkov, Google’s chief decision scientist, will tap into her on-the-ground experience to provide guidance on navigating new tech frontiers. She founded the field of Decision Intelligence at Google, advising leadership on the decision process, AI strategy, and building data-driven organizations.
Plus, two additional panels will tackle technology. Josh Gampp, senior vice president and chief technology officer at UDR; Tom Sloan, president of Windsor Communities; and Jennifer Staciokas, president of Western Wealth Communities, will discuss their strategies on centralization. Vince Cicciarelli, partner of LPC Ventures at Lincoln Property Co.; Elie Finegold, managing director at Crow Holdings; and Ashkan Zandieh, co-chair of the Center for Real Estate Technology & Innovation will examine the benefits and challenges of implementing new technology.
Mona Carlton, senior managing director of capital markets at JLL; Vic Clark, senior managing director, at Lument; and Stephanie Wiggins, head of production, agency lending, at PGIM, will discuss multifamily finance and how to get deals done despite rising interest rates and the volatile financial markets.
Industry leaders Lili Dunn, president and CEO of Bell Partners; David Lynd, president and CEO of Lynd Living; and Lisa Newton, senior vice president of multifamily operations at Hines, will share how their firms have adapted, pivoted, and thrived during today's challenging environment.
Kevin Donnelly, vice president of government affairs, technology, and strategic initiatives at the National Multifamily Housing Council, will lead a discussion on navigating the seismic shifts in insurance with Craig Hoffman, managing director of risk management at Greystar, and Katherine Santarelli, president of Wye River Insurance.
Rounding out the day will be an in-depth look at evolving design, programming, and amenities to meet different demographics’ wants and needs with Meaghan Kroener Janson, director of development at Crescent Communities, and Yoon Park, vice president of design at AvalonBay Communities.
The final half-day of the event will feature a celebration of the industry’s top people, projects, and programs as part of the MFE Awards Ceremony as well as a one-on-one interview with this year’s Hall of Fame inductee.
The final sessions of the day will explore the future of build-to-rent as well as some of the latest innovations in multifamily construction and development.
