LIVEbe Communities' The Remy project in Lanham, Md., has been recognized with a Delta Associates Excellence Award in the category of Best Lease-Up for a Suburban Maryland Apartment Community. The 278-unit mid-rise building began leasing in 2017, was able to reach full lease-up in one year, and averaged 23 move-ins in its first 12 months, according to a company press release.
The Remy is located near the New Carrollton Metrorail and Amtrak station, which provides access to Baltimore, Washington, D.C., New York, and Pennsylvania. The community includes studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments featuring hardwood flooring, quartz countertops, in-unit washers and dryers, and designer lighting and hardware. Plus, community amenities include a rooftop lounge, hydrotherapeutic saltwater pool, dog run, and telecommuting spaces.
“The Remy will draw plenty of traffic on its own with its unique aesthetic appeal and vast suite of amenities,” said Katie Thomas, director of LIVEbe Leasing Ambassadors. “But it’s certainly not the only luxury apartment community in the area, and our Ambassadors made a pronounced difference in leasing up the community so quickly. We are both excited and humbled to receive this recognition a year after opening our doors.”
Delta Associates used a 10-month metric and recognized an average of 19 move-ins en route to stabilization. LIVEbe was presented with the award on Oct. 17 at the Delta Associates’ 22nd Annual Apartment and Condominium Industry Awards for Excellence.
A design of Phase II is underway with construction to follow. The second phase will add more than 200 additional apartment homes, and retail space within the buildings.
