The annual Multifamily Executive Conference will be back in person Sept. 13 to 15 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, with a robust agenda that showcases the insight needed to thrive post-pandemic and stay ahead of the curve on industry trends and changes.

Join leading owners, operators, developers, and other multifamily stakeholders for key conversations regarding the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, critical in-person networking that’s been missing for over a year, and a celebration of the 2021 MFE Awards, featuring top people, projects, and programs.

Vikram Mansharamani, an author, a lecturer at Harvard’s John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and a global equity investor, will deliver the keynote address Sept. 13.

Mansharamani will delve into how to navigate uncertainty, a theme of his recently released book, “Think for Yourself: Restoring Common Sense in an Age of Experts and Artificial Intelligence.” The book, which follows “Boombustology: Spotting Financial Bubbles Before They Burst,” explores strategies for people looking to restore self-reliant thinking in a data-driven and technology-dependent yet overwhelmingly uncertain world.

Back by popular demand will be the Annual Economic Outlook, featuring Zonda chief economist Ali Wolf, JLL chief economist Ryan Severino, and John Sebree, senior vice president of the Multifamily Division at Marcus & Millichap. Several of the industry’s top CEOs, including Gregory Bates, president and CEO of GID, Ella Neyland, president at Steadfast Apartment REIT, and Tom Toomey, chairman and CEO of UDR, will reveal how they’re approaching today’s market and what they’re doing to prepare for tomorrow on the Executive Panel.

This year’s event will examine three critical change agents for the industry—technology, labor, and regulation. Additional sessions will explore the latest on the capital markets, fighting fraud, the do’s and don’ts of fair housing, hiring and retaining talent, managing rising insurance costs, cybersecurity, and other vital topics.
