Just steps from the heart of the Boise State University campus, VERVE Boise provides a haven for students away from home, offering an array of unit options, amenities, and study spaces.
Developed by Subtext, VERVE Boise opened in August 2023 for the 2023-24 academic year. The three-story, 547-bed community comprises 175 fully furnished studio, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom units with private bedrooms and bathrooms, high-speed internet, 55-inch smart TVs, USB outlets, and secured access.
“At Subtext, our ‘Places for All Headspaces’ concept is a design tool we use in programming the building to meet the varied needs and aspirations of our residents. We strive to enrich the student living experience by addressing every facet of life—social, educational, wellness, and home,” says Maggie St. Geme, director of marketing at Subtext. “For example, VERVE Boise features multifamily study spaces and designated quiet zones depending on whether students want to study individually, collaboratively, in an open lounge, or in a private room. These options really help meet people where they are with the end goal of setting them up for success.”
The development prioritizes both social and individual needs. Amenities include a resort-style pool with an outdoor kitchen and a gaming area that includes shuffle board and table tennis. Courtyards with fire pits and a clubhouse foster a sense of community. In addition, a state-of-the-art fitness center features a full barbell set, a TRX training machine, and a private yoga studio. Residents also can grab a drink in the lobby coffee bar or a snack in the micro market. To maximize academic success, study workspaces are outfitted with technology hookups, free printing, and designated noise-controlled areas.
