Catering to the luxurious, coastal lifestyle present in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., local developer The Related Group, in collaboration with the Fortune International Group, Fairwinds Group, and Matcar, oversaw the construction of two distinct glass towers directly off the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. The Auberge Beach Residences & Spa provides 171 condominium units for the influx of Northeastern and Midwestern empty nesters or residents searching for upscale metropolitan living in the area.

Internationally recognized architecture firm Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolfe & Associates designed the two high-rises with sleek, organic façades. The north tower boasts a curved expression with expansive cascading terraces, while the south tower’s more traditional high-rise structure contrasts the unique stepping effect. Additionally, both buildings complement the surrounding cityscape and were positioned to be self-shading structures that minimize shadows on the beach.

Upon entrance to the lobby, guests are welcomed with a massive, glass-encased atrium with tall, sheer curtains and a glass ceiling, creating unobstructed views of the exterior amenity area. The interiors, designed by New York City–based Meyer Davis Studio, display an elevated beach landscape with rich textures, neutral colors, and organic materials that connect residents to the adjacent natural environment.

The community’s units feature the same level of detail, with standard floor-to-ceiling windows oriented toward the ocean views. Residents have the option of a one-, two-, three-, four-, or five-bedroom residence with penthouses floor plans available as well. Units range in size from 1,500 square feet to 5,000 square feet and in price from $1.4 million to $9.9 million.

In line with the high-end Auberge brand, the resort-style amenity program at Auberge Beach includes a golf simulator, infinity pools and cabanas, a children’s playroom, a wine cellar, a private screening room, and a cigar lounge with poker and blackjack tables. But unlike other upscale properties, a couple Auberge amenities are also open to the public. The on-site, beachfront restaurant DUNE and the Spa at Auberge Beach both welcome public patrons, allowing everyone to experience some of the deluxe lifestyle.
