Inland American Communities' project, University House Central Florida, in Orlando, Fla. earned a merit award at the 2013 MFE Awards for student housing. The project was built by Winter Park Construction while Humphreys & Partners Architects worked as architects.

Last year, University House Central Florida, in Orlando, Fla. proved that cinder-block walls and a bare-bones’ TV lounge at the end of the hall don’t cut it anymore when it comes to dormitories. This 2013 award winner, designed by Humphrey’s & Partners, features fully furnished units, in nine different floor plans, with a design focus that has a fresh urban feel. As for amenities, there is a resort-style pool, sports courts, and a wireless multimedia lounge, to name just a few of the luxury touches.

We’re looking for the best student housing projects that opened between July 1, 2012 and Dec. 1, 2013 for this year's awards. Registration ends on April 15 and binders must be submitted for judging by June 3.
