Part of the Wolf Point master plan on Chicago’s riverfront, Wolf Point East by developer Hines is a 698-unit luxury multifamily tower, offering studios to three-bedroom penthouses, that intends to contribute to the city’s rich architectural history.

Internationally known Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects designed the high-rise using a sophisticated curtain wall system more typically found in office high-rises. A key design goal for the building was to have the structure land lightly in a park, avoiding heavy massing at the base. Strategic setbacks throughout stack to provide unique angles for residents and points of interest for people viewing the building from the outside.

The landscaped park and Riverwalk draw in both residents and neighbors, but the project’s target market can be categorized into four groups, including renters prioritizing their careers, renters valuing an active and healthy lifestyle, young renters that value an Instagram-worthy lifestyle, and older singles and couples preferring to stay in the city.

Wolf Point East features three resident collections—the River Collection, the Lake Collection, and the Penthouse Collection. The River Collection encompasses floors 4 to 39, while the Lake Collection covers floors 41 to 55. Both collections feature floor-to-ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, custom built-in shelving, premium fixtures, high-speed internet, smart thermostats, and keyless entry.

The Penthouse Collection encompasses floors 56 to 58 with expansive layouts with 10-foot ceilings, chef’s kitchens, custom cabinetry with built-ins, including wine fridges, motorized solar shades with bedroom blackout opacity, and restricted floor access.

Building amenities include an indoor pool with a south-facing terrace and sundeck, a full-floor expansive a fitness club and exercise studio, a private co-working lounge with conference rooms, an outdoor dog run, gathering spaces for dining and entertaining, and a club area complete with social games and a golf simulator. Residents can also enjoy the 4-acre landscaped park filled with cherry blossom trees above the Chicago Riverwalk and private parking.
