LARC at Kent is more than apartment complex, it is a community for the residents 55 and older who live there.
The affordable retirement community in Kent, Wash., features 131 one- and two-bedroom units serving residents under 80% of the area median income, well-landscaped grounds, 24-hour maintenance, and a range of activities to suit all residents.
“LARC at Kent’s exceptional offerings promote a passion for life, as well as personal growth and well-being,” said Jessica Alonzo, operations director for American Property Management at American Capital Group, the vertically integrated company behind the development.
LARC, or Legacy Affordable Retirement Community, at Kent is the first new senior housing development to be built in Kent in close to a decade. Tucked behind a residential neighborhood on a 7-acre site, the fully gated property offers a serene setting that is just blocks away from downtown Kent Station, an open-air village with shopping, entertainment, and dining options.
The community touts its fresh and modern touches, and each of the four floor plans are fully equipped with high-end appliances, including in-unit washers and dryers. The development team also incorporated sustainable materials into the building and is Evergreen Sustainable Development Standard certified.
On-site amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, an arts and crafts space, a billiard and game room, an outdoor patio with a barbecue area, and a resident lounge with a latte bar and a gas fireplace. In addition, the community’s on-site team offers an array of monthly activities to promote well-being, including movie nights, Saturday brunches, potlucks, a book club, game days, and a monthly birthday celebration.
