Along the Hudson Waterfront in Jersey City, N.J., a new, 79-story, 781-residence luxury condominium has topped out with a record height of 900 feet. Located at 99 Hudson St., the eponymous, 1.4 million-square-foot tower is China Overseas America’s first development in the United States. Touted as "a milestone for Jersey City" by local mayor Steven Fulop, 99 Hudson is the tallest building in New Jersey and the third-tallest residential condominium building in the United States.
The development will offer studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes up to 2,500 square feet and priced from $700,000 to over $4 million. Each unit will feature double-glazed, insulated, floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views; 5-inch-wide oak flooring; high-performance, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems; custom white lacquer kitchen cabinetry imported from Pordenone, Italy; a premium suite of appliances, including a vented kitchen hood; custom wood vanities; and high-end fixtures.
The property's 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities include an abundance of wellness, entertaining, and hosting options. Residents will have access to a private, off-street porte-cochère; a 24-hour concierge; a resident's lounge; a fitness center; a dry sauna; a wet lounge; treatment rooms; and outdoor amenities including the largest swimming pool in Jersey City, as well as dining areas with grills; a children’s playground; and a dog run.
Managed by Plaza Construction, work on 99 Hudson's façade, which features Jura Beige limestone sourced from Germany and floor-to-ceiling glass, is underway, and the building completion is slated for late 2019.
