Admiral Apartments represents an early 20th century style of apartment buildings that had its predominance in downtown and the immediate west side of Portland. The characteristic features of this style are brick masonry—most likely un-reinforced—bay windows, and simple triangular pediments. The style is Victorian, but the color palette is not as varied. Typically, the wood trim is painted a contrasting color to the masonry, often white. This style of apartment building is slowly disappearing. Hopefully, it will not be the next casualty.
