CAX New Role: Rohit Anand, principal of CAX, will be heading up the East Coast operations of KTGY Group following the merger of his company with the national architecture firm.

Irvine, Calif.-based architectural firm KTGY Group has acquired CAX, a Tysons Corner, Va.-based architecture group under the leadership of Rohit Anand. CAX’s 12 employees will join KTGY, which now has 105 employees nationwide. Anand will take the helm of KTGY’s East Coast operations, which will be based out of CAX’s Tysons Corner office. The new East Coast practice will emphasize growing business across the Eastern seaboard, but primarily in the booming Washington, D.C., corridor.

“This merger greatly strengthens KTGY’s national presence,” says Tricia Esser, CEO of KTGY. “The combined firms will provide coast-to-coast services to clients in single-family, multifamily, senior communities, student housing, military housing, and mixed-use markets.”

KTGY’s existing markets—California, Salt Lake City, Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix—will be enhanced by CAX’s metro reach of Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, New Jersey, and the Carolinas.

KTGY says the CAX group has a strong reputation and a similar company culture, which made the decision to merge easier. In addition, the group’s new, expanded business will better be able to serve its existing clientele and grow its residential client base. “With offices on both coasts, we become a one-shop local solution for our clients,” says Stan Braden, chairman of KTGY’s board.
