The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will honor two commercial real estate firms with 2008 Energy Star awards April 1. The companies are CB Richard Ellis and Transwestern. The two firms are members of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) International, an organization of 17,000-plus members that own or manage more than 9 billion square feet of commercial properties in North America and abroad.
CB Richard Ellis will be honored with an Energy Star Partner of the Year award for smart energy management practices and investments throughout its operations that resulted in significant energy and financial savings in its managed portfolio.
Transwestern will be honored with the Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency by providing clients with practical solutions to reduce their environmental footprint.
