As the first Energy Star-certified high-rise multifamily building in the Southeast, Gables Midtown met an extensive checklist of energy-efficiency, indoor air quality, and site requirements. The redeveloped infill location in Atlanta’s business district is convenient to mass transit services including busses and the neighborhood MARTA train station.

The structure’s prefabricated panelized wall system and R-19 and R-38 insulation went a long way in earning sustainability points. Project planners also incorporated 14-SEER HVAC systems, in-unit fresh air returns, high-efficiency and fluorescent lighting, Energy Star appliances, and carefully sealed high-performance windows.

Just as important as meeting Energy Star qualifications, Gables Midtown also fulfills residents’ requirements for amenities and comfort, including spacious open floor plans, 9- and 10-foot ceilings, wood flooring, granite countertops, and tile and stone bathroom finishes. The rooftop lounge and fitness center offers club-quality equipment and panoramic views of downtown Atlanta.
