Questar Properties has announced the start of pre-leasing at 414 Light Street, a 44-story apartment tower in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor district. It will be the tallest residential structure in the city when complete. Architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz has designed the waterfront building to LEED Silver standards.

The project broke ground in March 2016 on the former site of the McCormick & Co. spice factory, and it’s set to open next spring with 394 apartment homes, 40,000 square feet of amenity space, and 12,300 square feet of ground-floor retail.

The tower's off-site pre-leasing center opened its doors on June 9 with the fully furnished, one-bedroom "Cilantro" model unit available for public tours. Forty-one studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans are available for lease, each named for a spice, in keeping with the building site’s history. All include top-of-the-line customization options, including high-end cabinetry, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.

Over half of the units will offer private balconies overlooking Camden Yards and the Inner Harbor. Rents will range from $2,000 to $8,000.

“After much anticipation, we're thrilled to unveil the pre-leasing center, providing prospective residents a glimpse of 414 Light Street’s offerings, as well as an opportunity to explore the wonderful Inner Harbor ambience,” said Stephen Gorn, chairman and CEO of Questar Properties, in a statement. “As downtown Baltimore continues its urban renaissance, this high-rise community promises to set a new regional standard for full-service, luxury apartment living.”

The 40,000-square-foot amenity package includes an exclusive sky park with a terrace, pool, and cabanas. An outdoor movie screen, an al fresco kitchen and dining area, a pet park and grooming stations, community and resident gardens, and an urban bosque are also available. Indoor offerings include an entertainment kitchen, dining bar, game room, resident salon and theater, fireside area, and boardroom. A 24-hour concierge and staff will support all resident services.
