Situated in Dallas’ southwest region, Crescent Communities’ NOVEL Bishop Arts apartment community proudly displays a “modern-vintage vibe with a signature, eclectic Texas twist” throughout. Inside the studio, one-, and two-bedroom unit offerings, residents find two-tone craftsman kitchens, throwback tile, and brushed brass fixtures that echo the surrounding, chic Bishop Arts neighborhood.

The signature theme carries to the property’s fitness center, which includes space for cardio workouts, weight training, a TRX station, and a separate 530-square-foot room for on-demand fitness, yoga, and spin. When designing the 1,200-square-foot main fitness area, the development team and Charlotte, N.C.–based interior design company Vignette Interior Design decided to add a whimsical proverb to the tiled floor near the entryway door and cubbies. Outlined in black and white hexagonal tile, “keep it up” provides a message of encouragement to residents on their way in and out of the fitness space.

Other details that nod to the modern-vintage atmosphere include reclaimed wood–framed mirrors that transition into floating ceiling accents and an adjacent gallery wall filled with locally crafted art. Plus, if residents seek an aquatic workout, the linear guitar-shaped pool outside offers space to swim laps or perform water aerobics.
