Fully integrated real estate firm Landmark Properties has launched its first development in Minnesota. The Standard at Dinkytown in Minneapolis will be a 1,021-bed luxury high-rise in the heart of the University of Minnesota’s Greek Row in a prime commercial district.
The University of Minnesota is touted as the ninth-largest, single-campus enrollment for U.S. universities, with over 50,000 students enrolled each fall. Landmark Properties plans to start construction this year on the development, with the high-rise ready for occupancy in fall 2025.
“We look forward to bringing our high-quality, purpose-built student housing product to the University of Minnesota,” said president and CEO Wes Rogers. “Our first development in Minnesota will feature The Standard’s best-in-class amenities and premium proximity to campus.”
The high-rise will offer several distinct floor plans, ranging from studio to five-bedroom apartments, and 30 affordable housing units. Each unit will feature a gourmet kitchen with ample cabinet space, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances as well as premium flooring. Units also will be fully wired for high-speed internet and cable as well as have large closets, private baths, and in-unit washers and dryers.
Residents will have access to luxury amenities, such as a resort-style outdoor pool area, with a Jumbotron, a sun deck, cabanas, outdoor grilling stations, and a rooftop hot tub; a state-of-the-art fitness center; a clubhouse with a computer lab; a gaming lounge; a study lounge with a café; and Amazon package lockers.
Landmark’s portfolio comprises over 100 residential communities across the nation with over 60,000 beds under management and construction. It has an active development pipeline with 20 student and multifamily projects with an estimated value of $3.8 billion under construction.
