Jade at North Hyde Park is one of Tampa, Florida’s newest mixed-use apartment communities. Located in the burgeoning North Hyde Park neighborhood, Jade’s central location offers short commutes to downtown Tampa, boutique shopping in Ybor City, and the Tampa Riverwalk. With 192 units, 3,200 square feet of retail space, and 895 square feet of outdoor patio space, residents have a choice of studio to four-bedroom units ranging from 463 to 1,421 square feet.
When Chicago-area developer Wingspan Development Group decided to enter the Florida market with ABC Capital Corp., the firm knew it needed to add location-specific amenities that differed from its Midwest properties. The firm weighed its options and decided to lose its typical indoor fitness center and instead flex its creativity with an indoor-outdoor exercise area that opens onto a small lawn and pool through a glass garage door.
When the door is open, fresh air can circulate through the fitness area and give it an outdoor feel, but the space can also be closed off during periods of hot temperatures or severe weather. Plus, the see-through door allows poolside residents to look into the space to survey the crowd, rather than having to walk through the building to see if their favorite machine is free.
