If there were ever a luxury building consisting of strictly penthouse apartments, the TVH Entelechy Residences in India would be it. Inspired by the exclusivity of penthouse living, Atlanta-based architecture firm John Portman & Associates set out to dramatize this urban retreat and provide luxury to every one of its residents.

The firm’s unique style of pattern and design is evident in the 108 units, which range from 4,000 to 6,000 square feet. Each unit has its own elevator entrance, and the residences are stacked high with open floor plans.

Talk about the lap of luxury: Many of the units come with their own lap pools. The individual balconies lend wide views of the city of Chennai, the Adyar River, and the Madras Boat Club. And with both prep and show kitchens and individually operated sunroom screens, residents can entertain in sweeping fashion.

The four buildings are connected by long sky bridges, which bring residents to amenities including a fitness room, spa, and entertainment center on the roof. Each tower is distinguished by contemporary glass façades with different-colored patterns inspired by madras textile designs. But all this luxury takes time: There’s no word yet on the project’s completion date.
