Tasea Investment Co. and the Auger Family have announced the grand opening of the Legacy West End, a luxury apartment community located at the nexus of Washington, D.C.’s, Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, and Dupont Circle neighborhoods. The property, now open to its first residents, offers a mix of 192 one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio luxury apartments, along with five two-story carriage-style homes. KETTLER Management has been chosen to manage the community.
The exterior, designed by MTFA Architecture principal Michael T. Foster, combines modern glass-and-steel design elements with terra-cotta to create a distinguishing design aesthetic. “Terra-cotta is found on the most prestigious properties in the city,” said Roddi Krivanek, director of development for Tasea, in a statement. “It is a timeless material expressing a fully modern building with enduring quality.”
Legacy West End’s carriage homes are a rare type of residence in the District of Columbia, according to the developer. Their floor plans range from 1,194 to 1,564 square feet with one or two bedrooms, expansive staircases, 14-foot ceilings, and private covered porches. Three of the five units have private garages; the other two, carports.

The apartments feature 9-foot ceilings, sliding-glass barn doors to the bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and private balconies. All units have large kitchen islands with quartz countertops.
A rooftop deck is available to all residents and features a fire pit, grills, two swimming pools connected by a waterfall, and panoramic views of the city. Interior community amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, a pet spa, a club lounge with TVs, a pool table, and table shuffleboard.
With a Walk Score of 97, the community offers easy access to the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro stations, as well as George Washington University, the Georgetown waterfront, and the shops, bars, and restaurants in all three nearby neighborhoods.
“Legacy is designed to further distinguish its strategic location,” Foster added. “It is ideally suited to be walkable to shops, restaurants, parks, offices, and transit. It’s designed to engage the street life capturing the vibrancy of urban life. You’re at once in the epicenter of all the city has to offer.”
