Thompson Thrift is embarking on the development of its first multifamily community in Georgia. Construction is expected to begin on The Pullman, a 276-unit Class A community in the Atlanta suburb of Union City in Fulton County, in December.

This marks the 22nd state for the full-service real estate company, which continues to expand its footprint across the nation.

The Atlanta metro has experienced strong growth in recent years, adding over 615,000 jobs in the past decade as well as over 350,000 households during that period, according to Thompson Thrift. It also noted that the metro has experienced a shortage of new apartment deliveries, especially in the Southern Crescent where The Pullman is located.

“The Pullman site is strategically located in a strong demographic pocket where the average household income exceeds $100,000 and the annual population growth has outpaced the national average over the last 10 years,” said Josh Purvis, managing partner for Thompson Thrift Residential. “New developments have not kept pace with demand, and we believe that The Pullman not only will provide an excellent living experience for our residents, but it also represents an attractive investment opportunity for our partners.”

The gated community, which is expected to welcome residents in spring 2025, will be comprised of garden-style apartments with one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans with detached garages. Interiors will include an array of luxury features, such as stainless steel appliances, tile backsplashes, pantries, designer fixtures and finishes, hardwood-style flooring, patio and balcony options, full-size washers and dryers, and a suite of Alexa-compatible smart-home technology. The community also will offer Signature Collection homes with upgraded options, including premium appliances, a dry bar, a deluxe closet system with shelving, a walk-in shower with full tile surround and glass doors, and smart thermostats.

Amenities will include a fully equipped 24-hour fitness center, a resort-style heated pool, gas fire pits, community grilling areas, a pickleball court, a 24-hour social hub, private focus suites, a dog park, and a pet spa.
