JWB Real Estate Capital is converting 18 shipping containers into nine studio apartments and nine Airbnb rentals in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
While the costs were more than expected, the Jacksonville-based company wanted to do a project to benefit downtown, reports David Bauerlein of The Florida Times-Union.
"We don’t think we’ll have any problems filling it," said JWB President Alex Sifakis. "It's a unique development. There’s a little bit of urban pioneering. You’ve got the green angle where it’s repurposed containers. There's just a ton of interest on this project."
