The Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) announces that the 2018 Gold Nugget Awards—the annual program that awards the top innovators in design, planning and development—is now open for entries. The competition is open to builders, developers, architects, and land planners with communities and projects across the United States and internationally.

One Grand Award winner in each category, as well as the coveted “Home of the Year” award winner, will be announced at a special event on Thursday, June 28, at PCBC in San Diego.

Eligible Entries

  • Any projects or developments that were open for sale, lease, or rental at any time after Jan. 1, 2017, are eligible.
  • "On the Boards" entries must have at least one governmental approval and have forward progress.
  • Entries from the United States as well as international projects in all countries are eligible.
  • Previous Merit Award winners are eligible for the 2018 program if they meet the eligibility criteria described.

How to Enter

Review the category list for opportunities that best fit your project, home, or community.

Step 1. Complete the entry application and pay entry fees no later than April 25.
Step 2. Once an entry is submitted, the contest system will generate a unique entry serial number per entry.
Step 3. Entry materials are due by April 25. See entry requirements here.

Dates and Deadlines

  • Entry deadline—April 25 (entry fee: $375)
  • Announcement of finalists—May 23
  • PCBC Show—June 27–28
  • Gold Nugget Awards Ceremony—June 28, 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Final entry materials are due no later than April 25.
