Student housing owner, manager and developer EdR announced today that it has closed on three previously announced student community acquisitions: the Pura Vida and Carriage House at Colorado State University and The Urbane at the University of Arizona.
Taken together, the acquisitions add 505 beds to the EdR portfolio, which currently consists of 86 communities with more than 44,000 beds at 53 universities.
The Pura Vida and Carriage House communities at Colorado State contain a total of 194 beds. Both communities include a 24-hour computer lab, bike storage, washers, and dryers in each unit, and extensive security features.
The Urbane, which opened just last month at the University of Arizona, contains 311 beds, and is “one of the most highly amenitized communities in the EdR portfolio”, according to EdR. The building contains a rooftop pool, indoor and outdoor lounges, and bed-bath parity with tiered amenity options. Floor plans at The Urbane range from studios to five-bedroom apartments.
