National Housing Conference Taps Friar
Maureen Friar has been named president and CEO of the National Housing Conference (NHC). She joins the nonprofit organization after serving as executive director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York for 14 years. Friar replaces Conrad Egan, who has been with NHC for nearly 12 years. Egan will be transitioning out of the post this year.
Taylor Steps Into New Role at Colliers
Dylan Taylor, president of U.S. operations at FirstService Real Estate Advisors, will take on a new role in April after FirstService completes its merger with commercial real estate brokerage firm Colliers International. He will become CEO of U.S. operations for the revamped Colliers, which is based in Seattle.
Riverstone Names Danner President
Riverstone Residential Group has named industry veteran Terry Danner as president. Danner will report to Walt Smith, Riverstone's CEO, and oversee the company's property operations, while Smith directs the global operations, business strategy, and board of director efforts for Riverstone Residential.
Western National Promotes McElvain
Western National Property Management, a division of Western National Group, has appointed Mark McElvain as regional vice president of property management for its Arizona office. McElvain will oversee and manage properties throughout Arizona and Southern California.
Walker & Dunlop Hires Tech Exec Granger
Walker & Dunlop has named Bill Granger chief technology officer. Granger will be responsible for the Bethesda, Md.-based firm's IT infrastructure development. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Granger was director of IT at accounting firm Beers & Cutler.
Arbor Nabs Marans
Arbor Commercial Funding, a subsidiary of Arbor Commercial Mortgage, has appointed Todd Marans as FHA deputy chief underwriter. Marans will report to Thomas Dodge, FHA chief underwriter, and will oversee the processing and underwriting of multifamily and health care loans under the FHA Mortgage Insurance Programs.
