
Tysons, Va.-based property manager and developer KETTLER has expanded its executive team with two new personnel acquisitions. Phil Redmond has joined the company as chief information officer, and Daryl Smith has assumed the role of chief marketing officer.

Redmond has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, with more than half of it directly related to large-scale real estate financing and portfolio management. He has developed and managed business information systems for nonprofits devoted to animal rights and wildlife conservation, and has run his own consulting business. He joined KETTLER on January 22nd.
“Phil’s skills and experience are exceptional,” says Robert C. Kettler, KETTLER’S founder and CEO, in a statement. “To find someone who combines those skills with an in-depth knowledge of real estate, an entrepreneurial spirit and an empathetic nature is extraordinary.”
Smith brings 17 years of multifamily marketing experience to bear in his new role. Before joining KETTLER this year, he served as national director of marketing for one of the nation’s largest property management firms. He has also directed regional operations for several well-known multifamily companies. Prior to his career in multifamily real estate, Smith had worked in public television broadcast operations and station relations.

KETTLER has developed over 20,000 multifamily units, 5 million square feet of commercial space, and more than 46,000 homes since 1977. KETTLER Management currently manages 30,000 apartments along the East Coast and in Texas.
