As the Atlanta market continues to experience tremendous growth, Comunidad Partners has acquired a 304-unit multifamily community, Oaks at Holcomb Bridge, in the Roswell submarket to help meet the demand for affordable and workforce housing.
“This new acquisition perfectly aligns with our everlasting mission of bringing impact capital to underserved markets with diverse populations in the Sun Belt region of the U.S.,” said Antonio Marquez, managing partner at Comunidad Partners, a minority- and women-owned real estate investment firm. “Roswell is one of the most affluent submarkets in Georgia, making affordability a challenge for many families that are integral to the local workforce. Acquiring Oaks at Holcomb Bridge affords us the opportunity to preserve and create affordable housing with enhanced amenities and services for these families.”
Comunidad Partners specializes in revitalizing affordable and workforce housing communities in infill locations and implementing its cultural management platform, which includes upgrades related to diverse interests and needs, community investment initiatives, and social impact programs that help provide a sense of community and improve residents’ lives.
“We place a significant emphasis on investing in our residents, which will drive strategy with Oaks at Holcomb Bridge,” said Marquez. “Through our unique value-add and social programs, we can provide our residents with opportunities in education, health, and equity through upward economic mobility, which improves resiliency and positively transforms communities.”
In addition, Comunidad Partners plans for a series of interior and exterior renovations at Oaks at Holcomb Bridge, which features amenities such as grilling and picnic areas, a playground, a sports court, and a resident business center.
Oaks at Holcomb Bridge is the firm’s eighth acquisition in the Atlanta market, bringing its holdings to 1,867 units. Nationwide, the firm has invested in more than 40 communities totaling more than 11,000 units of affordable and workforce housing to date.
