Greensboro, N.C.-based Bell Partners acquired a 396-unit asset in Parkland, Fla. for $64.7 million. The purchase brings Bell Partners' 2012 acquisitions total to $350 million.
Montgomery County in Maryland acquired two properties totaling 1,750 units for $192.3 million. One was a 768-unit asset in Germantown, Md. which traded for $90.3 million. The other was a 982-unit community in Laurel, Md. with a 5.9 percent cap rate. Both will be used as affordable housing.
Dayton, Ohio-based The Connor Group sold a 186-unit property in Durham, N.C. for $22 million and purchased a property in Charlotte for an undisclosed sum.
New York City-based Atlas Real Estate Partners acquired a Class A, 268-unit asset in Naples, Fla. for $22 million.
