Water damage due to frozen pipes and plumbing failures makes up the second most frequently filed insurance claim in the country, costing homeowners, property managers, and insurance companies billions of dollars each year. A new product from FloLogic aims to combat this loss of property by alerting users to leaks before they become a problem.
The FloLogic System 3.5 automatic water monitoring and shutoff system eliminates the risk of uncontrolled water leaks, says the company. Whether a small leak or large burst of water, the FloLogic System quickly identifies the source of the leak, protecting property from catastrophic water damage while eliminating high water bills due to leaks and wasted water. "The FloLogic System is known as the circuit breaker for every plumbing system," says FloLogic CEO Chuck De Smet.
FloLogic system features a cast bronze ball valve and is designed for
indoor and outdoor installations particularly throughout the Sunbelt where
concrete slab construction is dominant. It can be installed below grade in a meter box, which protects the entire
property from the meter through the structure and beyond into the irrigation
system. Other products in the market cannot be installed below
grade due to limitations in their communication reach, waterproof
characteristics and other technology constraints, says De Smet.
