Apartman 18

Aytac Architects mimics the concrete vineyard that rose in place of the vineyards of old Erenköy in Istanbul.

Aytac Architects took inspiration from the old vineyards that were destroyed in the 1970s as density created a need for more housing.

The architects resurrected the old vineyards in a concrete vineyard of its own.

Up close and personal, the protrusions and angles of the facade keep they eyes moving up.

The touch of wood at the lobby entrance brings a warmth to the new-age metal and glass structure.

Beneath the lobby are 18 available parking spaces for the nine units.

The unique floor plans keep residents interested at every turn. Most units come with one or two balconies either at the front off the living room or at the back off the bedrooms.

Windows use varying degrees of transparency to increase privacy from the street.

Odd window shapes like this one brings the vine-like exterior to life on the inside, as if residents are peering out from the vine.

Most of the units have an option to create an additional bedroom but reducing the space of the massive master suite.

The unique structure allows for creative floor plans that residents can make their own.

The bathrooms were finished to high-end tastes.

Each unit comes with two bathrooms: one ensuite and one main bathroom located in the hallway.

The rooftop club room gives residents an additional space for gathering an entertaining while watching the sun set.

The rooftop pool looks out over Istanbul.
