Developers Hines and Welltower have released designs for a new senior living building in Manhattan modeled after Park Avenue-style apartments.
The project aims to address the aging demographic for Manhattan’s vastly underserved senior population in need of assisted living and memory care services. The new residence will offer the highest quality of care and the latest in health care innovation, while creating an environment focused on wellness and community.
Located at the intersection of the Midtown East commercial district and the Upper East Side residential district, the building is inspired by classic Park Avenue apartment houses. The primary community spaces on the second floor will include oversized floor-to-ceiling glass windows designed to maintain a close physical connection between the residents and the neighborhood. The residential units begin at the 3rd floor and continue to the 14th floor.
