• Columbus, Ohio-based RED Capital Group has named senior executives Brian Kelleher and Scott Laufenberg co-chairmen and CEOs. Laufenberg is a member of RED's executive committee and has served as president and chief operating officer of Red Capital Markets, RED's broker/dealer entity, where he directed the building of the firm's low-income housing tax credit business. Kelleher also serves on RED's executive committee and was previously senior managing director and chief operating officer of RED Capital Group. Both promotions follow the February retirement of William Roberts.
  • Lane Southeast, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based multifamily real estate firm Lane Co., hired Patrick O'Donnell as its newest development partner to seek land and partnership opportunities in all major southeastern markets, but particularly in Atlanta and Nashville, Tenn. O'Donnell was previously vice president of development for Atlanta-based real estate developer Place Properties.
  • Denver-based multifamily REIT UDR has appointed Warren L. Troupe senior executive vice president and general counsel. Troupe has worked extensively with the UDR board of directors and management team over the past seven years, most recently as a partner with Morrison & Forester, where he served as chair of the Denver corporate group. During his 11 years at Morrison & Forester, Troupe represented a wide range of companies in a practice that focused on all aspects of corporate finance.
  • Denver-based apartment owner, acquirer, and developer RedPeak Properties has announced that Brian Healy has joined its team as vice president of construction. Healy will handle construction activities and capital improvements across the RedPeak portfolio and development pipeline. Prior to joining RedPeak, Healy was president and CEO of Littleton, Colo.-based Etkin Construction, where he directed all aspects of construction operations, pre-construction services, and marketing. RedPeak has also named Heather Campbell as the company's marketing director. Campbell will oversee the company's marketing and training initiatives. Campbell comes to RedPeak from Archstone-Smith, where she was vice president of marketing and communications and played a critical role in building brand identity.
  • Franklin, Tenn.-based multifamily community developer Bristol Development Group has named veteran real estate executive Charles Carlisle as its new principal and CEO. Carlisle will oversee all business operations, direct the company's future endeavors. He will join Bristol partners Dan Daniel, Ashlyn Hines, and Sam Yeager in guiding the company's expansion efforts, which include current multifamily projects under development in 14 southeast markets. Prior to joining Bristol, Carlisle spent more than a decade with Birmingham, Ala.-based Daniel Corp., a full-service real estate company involved in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial and residential properties.
  • After closing $3.5 billion in 2007 financing transactions, Irvine, Calif.-based Johnson Capital promoted Adam Dornbush to associate. In this role, he will continue with underwriting and analysis functions while expanding his overall responsibilities in the areas of origination, transaction management, and loan closing. Johnson Capital has also announced the addition of Ryan Porter to the commercial real estate investment team, where he will analyze various types of commercial real estate debt and equity transactions.
  • Ron Monat has joined CB Richard Ellis' Phoenix, Ariz.-based Multi-Housing Private Client Group as vice president. With a business background spanning numerous industries, including real estate, consumer products, and technology, Monat has managed a wide range of national businesses for corporations such as General Mills, Warner-Lambert, International Playtex, and GlaxoSmithKline. In 2004, he began his real estate career and developed an in-depth understanding of the market dynamics in Arizona, including building extensive knowledge of multifamily properties and relationships with regional and national investor communities.
  • Bethesda, Md.-based national multifamily lender Green Park Financial has announced that Anthony Washington has joined the company as vice president and will focus on growing the company's Northeast loan portfolio and originating loans nationally. Prior to joining Green Park Financial, Washington was a principal at M&A Development where he worked on multifamily apartment, condo, and single-family deals in the Washington, D.C., and Chicago markets.
