Multifamily Executive's annual program honoring the apartment industry's best people, programs, and projects is once again open to submissions, in 20 categories.
The application process is being hosted online at www.mfeawards.com, where applicants can register and pay for their entries and complete the full materials-submission process. Early registration ends April 7, and final submissions close on April 28. Visit the site for more information regarding eligibility, categories, and material requirements for entering.
New for 2017
The new category added this year is Best Unit Design.
Projects across the U.S. have gotten increasingly smaller, demonstrating how effective use of space can both optimize a multifamily company's bottom line and improve its residents' living experience. This category will honor the architects, developers, and interior designers who are creating unique spaces that help apartment projects maintain a competitive edge in this crowded environment.
Also of note is the separation of the Senior category into market-rate and affordable projects this year.
Senior living offers unique challenges for property owners and developers, but the difference between communities designed for market-rate and those designed for tight budgets has grown exponentially. As a result, we've split the Senior category in two in order to single out the affordable projects that are taking the living experience to new heights while maintaining a budget-conscious approach.
All of the winners of the 2017 Multifamily Executive Awards will be honored during the MFE Conference in September. The winners will also be featured online, as well as in the September and October print issues of MFE.
