Freddie Mac has published a list of the top ten multifamily lenders who transacted the most financing volume through its Freddie Mac Multifamily arm in 2016.

Freddie Mac has published a list of the top 10 multifamily lenders that transacted the most financing volume through the GSE's multifamily arm in 2016.

CBRE Capital Markets heads the list, with $10.6 billion in multifamily transactions made through Freddie Mac Multifamily last year. Berkadia Commercial Mortgage came in second, at $9.8 billion, and Walker & Dunlop was third, at $5.8 billion.

Freddie Mac Multifamily settled a record $56.8 billion in new multifamily volume in 2016 and financed more than 738,000 rental units.
